About Quran Tajweed Transliteration
Quran Tajweed Transliteration is a free reader for people who are learning to recite the Quran with English transliteration and colour-coded Tajweed cues. It is designed as a learning aid, not as a replacement for Arabic script, qualified teachers, or recognised scholarly study.
Who This Helps
The site is intended for new Muslims, non-Arabic speakers, parents, children, and returning learners who need a bridge into Quran recitation. The long-term goal is still clear Arabic reading with proper Tajweed.
Project Accountability
Content and source decisions are documented in the methodology. If you find a transliteration, Tajweed, spelling, citation, or routing issue, report it through the public GitHub project so it can be reviewed transparently.
Editorial Review Standard
The reader and learning pages are maintained through a documented editorial process: source claims are checked against public Quran and hadith references, changes are reviewed in version control, and corrections are handled in the open. The project does not claim to replace a qualified Quran teacher or scholarly certification.
Last review baseline: 2026-04-28. Correction requests are tracked publicly so mistakes can be fixed and re-tested.
Important Note
Transliteration can help beginners start, but it cannot perfectly represent every Arabic sound. For prayer, memorisation, and advanced Tajweed, learners should work toward Arabic script and seek correction from a qualified teacher.
