Privacy Policy
Quran Tajweed Transliteration is designed to work without an account. Your bookmarks, notes, theme, zoom, and reading progress are stored on your device. The iOS app, Android app, and website keep separate reading data; this project does not sync that data between devices.
Local Data
Your reading data is kept locally and is not sent to our servers. It remains until you remove it or your device clears it. Remove a bookmark using its bookmark button. To delete a note, clear its text and save. To remove all local data on Android, clear the app's storage in Settings. On iOS, delete the app rather than offloading it. In a browser, clear this website's data in settings. Device backups may retain earlier copies.
Analytics
The iOS and Android apps do not include Google Analytics or Vercel Speed Insights.
The website uses Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate page usage and Core Web Vitals. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser to measure usage and receives anonymised Core Web Vitals events. Vercel Speed Insights measures performance. Core Web Vitals are performance measurements such as loading speed, interaction responsiveness, and visual stability.
Audio
Playing recitation connects to AlQuran Cloud and its audio delivery providers. These services receive your IP address and the requested recitation to deliver audio. Your bookmarks and notes are not included. Audio requires an internet connection; reading the bundled pages in the iOS and Android apps does not. You can use the reader without playing audio. See the audio provider's terms.

Donation buttons may send you to Stripe. Source and correction links may send you to GitHub or public Islamic reference sites. Those services have their own privacy policies.
