وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفٗا
Waalmursalati AAurfanBy those [winds] sent forth in gusts
- 2Verse 2
فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفٗا
FaalAAasifati AAasfanAnd the winds that blow violently
- 3Verse 3
وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرٗا
Waalnnashirati nashranAnd [by] the winds that spread [clouds]
- 4Verse 4
فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقٗا
Faalfariqati farqanAnd those [angels] who bring criterion
- 5Verse 5
فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا
Faalmulqiyati thikranAnd those [angels] who deliver a message
- 6Verse 6
عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا
AAuthran aw nuthranAs justification or warning
- 7Verse 7
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٞ
Innama tooAAadoona lawaqiAAunIndeed, what you are promised is to occur
- 8Verse 8
فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ
Faitha alnnujoomu tumisatSo when the stars are obliterated
- 9Verse 9
وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ
Waitha alssamao furijatAnd when the heaven is opened
- 10Verse 10
وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ
Waitha aljibalu nusifatAnd when the mountains are blown away
- 11Verse 11
وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ
Waitha alrrusulu oqqitatAnd when the messengers' time has come
- 12Verse 12
لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ
Liayyi yawmin ojjilatFor what Day was it postponed
- 13Verse 13
لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
Liyawmi alfasliFor the Day of Judgement
- 14Verse 14
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ
Wama adraka ma yawmu alfasliAnd what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement
- 15Verse 15
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 16Verse 16
أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Alam nuhliki alawwaleenaDid We not destroy the former peoples
- 17Verse 17
ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ
Thumma nutbiAAuhumu alakhireenaThen We will follow them with the later ones
- 18Verse 18
كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ
Kathalika nafAAalu bialmujrimeenaThus do We deal with the criminals
- 19Verse 19
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 20Verse 20
أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖ
Alam nakhluqkum min main maheeninDid We not create you from a liquid disdained
- 21Verse 21
فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٍ
FajaAAalnahu fee qararin makeeninAnd We placed it in a firm lodging
- 22Verse 22
إِلَىٰ قَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖ
Ila qadarin maAAloominFor a known extent
- 23Verse 23
فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ
Faqadarna faniAAma alqadiroonaAnd We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine
- 24Verse 24
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 25Verse 25
أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا
Alam najAAali alarda kifatanHave We not made the earth a container
- 26Verse 26
أَحۡيَآءٗ وَأَمۡوَٰتٗا
Ahyaan waamwatanOf the living and the dead
- 27Verse 27
وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتٖ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءٗ فُرَاتٗا
WajaAAalna feeha rawasiya shamikhatin waasqaynakum maan furatanAnd We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water
- 28Verse 28
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 29Verse 29
ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ
Intaliqoo ila ma kuntum bihi tukaththiboona[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny
- 30Verse 30
ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلّٖ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٖ
Intaliqoo ila thillin thee thalathi shuAAabinProceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns
- 31Verse 31
لَّا ظَلِيلٖ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ
La thaleelin wala yughnee mina allahabi[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame
- 32Verse 32
إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرٖ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ
Innaha tarmee bishararin kaalqasriIndeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress
- 33Verse 33
كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٞ صُفۡرٞ
Kaannahu jimalatun sufrunAs if they were yellowish [black] camels
- 34Verse 34
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 35Verse 35
هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ
Hatha yawmu la yantiqoonaThis is a Day they will not speak
- 36Verse 36
وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ
Wala yuthanu lahum fayaAAtathiroonaNor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse
- 37Verse 37
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 38Verse 38
هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ
Hatha yawmu alfasli jamaAAnakum waalawwaleenaThis is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples
- 39Verse 39
فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٞ فَكِيدُونِ
Fain kana lakum kaydun fakeedooniSo if you have a plan, then plan against Me
- 40Verse 40
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 41Verse 41
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلٖ وَعُيُونٖ
Inna almuttaqeena fee thilalin waAAuyooninIndeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs
- 42Verse 42
وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ
Wafawakiha mimma yashtahoonaAnd fruits from whatever they desire
- 43Verse 43
كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ
Kuloo waishraboo haneean bima kuntum taAAmaloona[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do
- 44Verse 44
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ
Inna kathalika najzee almuhsineenaIndeed, We thus reward the doers of good
- 45Verse 45
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 46Verse 46
كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ
Kuloo watamattaAAoo qaleelan innakum mujrimoona[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals
- 47Verse 47
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 48Verse 48
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ
Waitha qeela lahumu irkaAAoo la yarkaAAoonaAnd when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow
- 49Verse 49
وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ
Waylun yawmaithin lilmukaththibeenaWoe, that Day, to the deniers
- 50Verse 50
فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ
