    مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

    Ma alqariAAatu

    What is the Striking Calamity

    وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلۡقَارِعَةُ

    Wama adraka ma alqariAAatu

    And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity

  4. 4Verse 4

    يَوۡمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلۡفَرَاشِ ٱلۡمَبۡثُوثِ

    Yawma yakoonu alnnasu kaalfarashi almabthoothi

    It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed

  5. 5Verse 5

    وَتَكُونُ ٱلۡجِبَالُ كَٱلۡعِهۡنِ ٱلۡمَنفُوشِ

    Watakoonu aljibalu kaalAAihni almanfooshi

    And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up

  6. 6Verse 6

    فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    Faamma man thaqulat mawazeenuhu

    Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds]

  7. 7Verse 7

    فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٖ رَّاضِيَةٖ

    Fahuwa fee AAeeshatin radiyatin

    He will be in a pleasant life

  8. 8Verse 8

    وَأَمَّا مَنۡ خَفَّتۡ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ

    Waamma man khaffat mawazeenuhu

    But as for one whose scales are light

  9. 9Verse 9

    فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٞ

    Faommuhu hawiyatun

    His refuge will be an abyss

  10. 10Verse 10

    وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهۡ

    Wama adraka ma hiyah

    And what can make you know what that is

  11. 11Verse 11

    نَارٌ حَامِيَةُۢ

    Narun hamiyatun

    It is a Fire, intensely hot
