- 1Verse 1
وَٱلذَّـٰرِيَٰتِ ذَرۡوٗا
Waalththariyati tharwanBy those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing
- 2Verse 2
فَٱلۡحَٰمِلَٰتِ وِقۡرٗا
Faalhamilati wiqranAnd those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]
- 3Verse 3
فَٱلۡجَٰرِيَٰتِ يُسۡرٗا
Faaljariyati yusranAnd those [ships] sailing with ease
- 4Verse 4
فَٱلۡمُقَسِّمَٰتِ أَمۡرًا
Faalmuqassimati amranAnd those [angels] apportioning [each] matter
- 5Verse 5
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٞ
Innama tooAAadoona lasadiqunIndeed, what you are promised is true
- 6Verse 6
وَإِنَّ ٱلدِّينَ لَوَٰقِعٞ
Wainna alddeena lawaqiAAunAnd indeed, the recompense is to occur
- 7Verse 7
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلۡحُبُكِ
Waalssamai thati alhubukiBy the heaven containing pathways
- 8Verse 8
إِنَّكُمۡ لَفِي قَوۡلٖ مُّخۡتَلِفٖ
Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalifinIndeed, you are in differing speech
- 9Verse 9
يُؤۡفَكُ عَنۡهُ مَنۡ أُفِكَ
Yufaku AAanhu man ofikaDeluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded
- 10Verse 10
قُتِلَ ٱلۡخَرَّـٰصُونَ
Qutila alkharrasoonaDestroyed are the falsifiers
- 11Verse 11
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ فِي غَمۡرَةٖ سَاهُونَ
Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoonaWho are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless
- 12Verse 12
يَسۡـَٔلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Yasaloona ayyana yawmu alddeeniThey ask, "When is the Day of Recompense
- 13Verse 13
يَوۡمَ هُمۡ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفۡتَنُونَ
Yawma hum AAala alnnari yuftanoona[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire
- 14Verse 14
ذُوقُواْ فِتۡنَتَكُمۡ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَ
Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona[And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient
- 15Verse 15
إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّـٰتٖ وَعُيُونٍ
Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyooninIndeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs
- 16Verse 16
ءَاخِذِينَ مَآ ءَاتَىٰهُمۡ رَبُّهُمۡۚ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحۡسِنِينَ
Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineenaAccepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good
- 17Verse 17
كَانُواْ قَلِيلٗا مِّنَ ٱلَّيۡلِ مَا يَهۡجَعُونَ
Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoonaThey used to sleep but little of the night
- 18Verse 18
وَبِٱلۡأَسۡحَارِ هُمۡ يَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَ
Wabialashari hum yastaghfiroonaAnd in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness
- 19Verse 19
وَفِيٓ أَمۡوَٰلِهِمۡ حَقّٞ لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلۡمَحۡرُومِ
Wafee amwalihim haqqun lilssaili waalmahroomiAnd from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived
- 20Verse 20
وَفِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ ءَايَٰتٞ لِّلۡمُوقِنِينَ
Wafee alardi ayatun lilmooqineenaAnd on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith]
- 21Verse 21
وَفِيٓ أَنفُسِكُمۡۚ أَفَلَا تُبۡصِرُونَ
Wafee anfusikum afala tubsiroonaAnd in yourselves. Then will you not see
- 22Verse 22
وَفِي ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزۡقُكُمۡ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ
Wafee alssamai rizqukum wama tooAAadoonaAnd in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised
- 23Verse 23
فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقّٞ مِّثۡلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمۡ تَنطِقُونَ
Fawarabbi alssamai waalardi innahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoonaThen by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking
- 24Verse 24
هَلۡ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيۡفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ ٱلۡمُكۡرَمِينَ
Hal ataka hadeethu dayfi ibraheema almukrameenaHas there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham
- 25Verse 25
إِذۡ دَخَلُواْ عَلَيۡهِ فَقَالُواْ سَلَٰمٗاۖ قَالَ سَلَٰمٞ قَوۡمٞ مُّنكَرُونَ
Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroonaWhen they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown
- 26Verse 26
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجۡلٖ سَمِينٖ
Faragha ila ahlihi fajaa biAAijlin sameeninThen he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf
- 27Verse 27
فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيۡهِمۡ قَالَ أَلَا تَأۡكُلُونَ
Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloonaAnd placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat
- 28Verse 28
فَأَوۡجَسَ مِنۡهُمۡ خِيفَةٗۖ قَالُواْ لَا تَخَفۡۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ عَلِيمٖ
Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleeminAnd he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy
- 29Verse 29
فَأَقۡبَلَتِ ٱمۡرَأَتُهُۥ فِي صَرَّةٖ فَصَكَّتۡ وَجۡهَهَا وَقَالَتۡ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٞ
Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemunAnd his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman
- 30Verse 30
قَالُواْ كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلۡحَكِيمُ ٱلۡعَلِيمُ
Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemuThey said, "Thus has said your Lord; indeed, He is the Wise, the Knowing
- 31Verse 31
۞قَالَ فَمَا خَطۡبُكُمۡ أَيُّهَا ٱلۡمُرۡسَلُونَ
Qala fama khatbukum ayyuha almursaloona[Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers
- 32Verse 32
قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّآ أُرۡسِلۡنَآ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمٖ مُّجۡرِمِينَ
Qaloo inna orsilna ila qawmin mujrimeenaThey said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals
- 33Verse 33
لِنُرۡسِلَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ حِجَارَةٗ مِّن طِينٖ
Linursila AAalayhim hijaratan min teeninTo send down upon them stones of clay
- 34Verse 34
مُّسَوَّمَةً عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلۡمُسۡرِفِينَ
Musawwamatan AAinda rabbika lilmusrifeenaMarked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors
- 35Verse 35
فَأَخۡرَجۡنَا مَن كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Faakhrajna man kana feeha mina almumineenaSo We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers
- 36Verse 36
فَمَا وَجَدۡنَا فِيهَا غَيۡرَ بَيۡتٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
Fama wajadna feeha ghayra baytin mina almuslimeenaAnd We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims
- 37Verse 37
وَتَرَكۡنَا فِيهَآ ءَايَةٗ لِّلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ ٱلۡعَذَابَ ٱلۡأَلِيمَ
Watarakna feeha ayatan lillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba alaleemaAnd We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment
- 38Verse 38
وَفِي مُوسَىٰٓ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ فِرۡعَوۡنَ بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ مُّبِينٖ
Wafee moosa ith arsalnahu ila firAAawna bisultanin mubeeninAnd in Moses [was a sign], when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority
- 39Verse 39
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكۡنِهِۦ وَقَالَ سَٰحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٞ
Fatawalla biruknihi waqala sahirun aw majnoonunBut he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman
- 40Verse 40
فَأَخَذۡنَٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذۡنَٰهُمۡ فِي ٱلۡيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٞ
Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleemunSo We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy
- 41Verse 41
وَفِي عَادٍ إِذۡ أَرۡسَلۡنَا عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلرِّيحَ ٱلۡعَقِيمَ
Wafee AAadin ith arsalna AAalayhimu alrreeha alAAaqeemaAnd in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind
- 42Verse 42
مَا تَذَرُ مِن شَيۡءٍ أَتَتۡ عَلَيۡهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتۡهُ كَٱلرَّمِيمِ
Ma tatharu min shayin atat AAalayhi illa jaAAalathu kaalrrameemiIt left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins
- 43Verse 43
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذۡ قِيلَ لَهُمۡ تَمَتَّعُواْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٖ
Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahum tamattaAAoo hatta heeninAnd in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time
- 44Verse 44
فَعَتَوۡاْ عَنۡ أَمۡرِ رَبِّهِمۡ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ وَهُمۡ يَنظُرُونَ
FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathathumu alssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroonaBut they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on
- 45Verse 45
فَمَا ٱسۡتَطَٰعُواْ مِن قِيَامٖ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُنتَصِرِينَ
Fama istataAAoo min qiyamin wama kanoo muntasireenaAnd they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves
- 46Verse 46
وَقَوۡمَ نُوحٖ مِّن قَبۡلُۖ إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَوۡمٗا فَٰسِقِينَ
Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeenaAnd [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient
- 47Verse 47
وَٱلسَّمَآءَ بَنَيۡنَٰهَا بِأَيۡيْدٖ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
Waalssamaa banaynaha biaydin wainna lamoosiAAoonaAnd the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander
- 48Verse 48
وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ فَرَشۡنَٰهَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡمَٰهِدُونَ
Waalarda farashnaha faniAAma almahidoonaAnd the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer
- 49Verse 49
وَمِن كُلِّ شَيۡءٍ خَلَقۡنَا زَوۡجَيۡنِ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تَذَكَّرُونَ
Wamin kulli shayin khalaqna zawjayni laAAallakum tathakkaroonaAnd of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember
- 50Verse 50
فَفِرُّوٓاْ إِلَى ٱللَّهِۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ
Fafirroo ila Allahi innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenunSo flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner
- 51Verse 51
وَلَا تَجۡعَلُواْ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنۡهُ نَذِيرٞ مُّبِينٞ
Wala tajAAaloo maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenunAnd do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner
- 52Verse 52
كَذَٰلِكَ مَآ أَتَى ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُواْ سَاحِرٌ أَوۡ مَجۡنُونٌ
Kathalika ma ata allatheena min qablihim min rasoolin illa qaloo sahirun aw majnoonunSimilarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman
- 53Verse 53
أَتَوَاصَوۡاْ بِهِۦۚ بَلۡ هُمۡ قَوۡمٞ طَاغُونَ
Atawasaw bihi bal hum qawmun taghoonaDid they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people
- 54Verse 54
فَتَوَلَّ عَنۡهُمۡ فَمَآ أَنتَ بِمَلُومٖ
Fatawalla AAanhum fama anta bimaloominSo leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed
- 55Verse 55
وَذَكِّرۡ فَإِنَّ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ تَنفَعُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ
Wathakkir fainna alththikra tanfaAAu almumineenaAnd remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers
- 56Verse 56
وَمَا خَلَقۡتُ ٱلۡجِنَّ وَٱلۡإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعۡبُدُونِ
Wama khalaqtu aljinna waalinsa illa liyaAAbudooniAnd I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me
- 57Verse 57
مَآ أُرِيدُ مِنۡهُم مِّن رِّزۡقٖ وَمَآ أُرِيدُ أَن يُطۡعِمُونِ
Ma oreedu minhum min rizqin wama oreedu an yutAAimooniI do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me
- 58Verse 58
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلرَّزَّاقُ ذُو ٱلۡقُوَّةِ ٱلۡمَتِينُ
Inna Allaha huwa alrrazzaqu thoo alquwwati almateenuIndeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength
- 59Verse 59
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ ذَنُوبٗا مِّثۡلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصۡحَٰبِهِمۡ فَلَا يَسۡتَعۡجِلُونِ
Fainna lillatheena thalamoo thanooban mithla thanoobi ashabihim fala yastaAAjiloonaAnd indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me
- 60Verse 60
فَوَيۡلٞ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِن يَوۡمِهِمُ ٱلَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ
Fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min yawmihimu allathee yooAAadoonaAnd woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised
