إِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ ٱنفَطَرَتۡ
Itha alssamao infataratWhen the sky breaks apart
- 2Verse 2
وَإِذَا ٱلۡكَوَاكِبُ ٱنتَثَرَتۡ
Waitha alkawakibu intatharatAnd when the stars fall, scattering
- 3Verse 3
وَإِذَا ٱلۡبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتۡ
Waitha albiharu fujjiratAnd when the seas are erupted
- 4Verse 4
وَإِذَا ٱلۡقُبُورُ بُعۡثِرَتۡ
Waitha alqubooru buAAthiratAnd when the [contents of] graves are scattered
- 5Verse 5
عَلِمَتۡ نَفۡسٞ مَّا قَدَّمَتۡ وَأَخَّرَتۡ
AAalimat nafsun ma qaddamat waakhkharatA soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back
- 6Verse 6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ
Ya ayyuha alinsanu ma gharraka birabbika alkareemiO mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous
- 7Verse 7
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّىٰكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
Allathee khalaqaka fasawwaka faAAadalakaWho created you, proportioned you, and balanced you
- 8Verse 8
فِيٓ أَيِّ صُورَةٖ مَّا شَآءَ رَكَّبَكَ
Fee ayyi sooratin ma shaa rakkabakaIn whatever form He willed has He assembled you
- 9Verse 9
كَلَّا بَلۡ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِٱلدِّينِ
Kalla bal tukaththiboona bialddeeniNo! But you deny the Recompense
- 10Verse 10
وَإِنَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ لَحَٰفِظِينَ
Wainna AAalaykum lahafitheenaAnd indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers
- 11Verse 11
كِرَامٗا كَٰتِبِينَ
Kiraman katibeenaNoble and recording
- 12Verse 12
يَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ
YaAAlamoona ma tafAAaloonaThey know whatever you do
- 13Verse 13
إِنَّ ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٖ
Inna alabrara lafee naAAeeminIndeed, the righteous will be in pleasure
- 14Verse 14
وَإِنَّ ٱلۡفُجَّارَ لَفِي جَحِيمٖ
Wainna alfujjara lafee jaheeminAnd indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire
- 15Verse 15
يَصۡلَوۡنَهَا يَوۡمَ ٱلدِّينِ
Yaslawnaha yawma alddeeniThey will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense
- 16Verse 16
وَمَا هُمۡ عَنۡهَا بِغَآئِبِينَ
Wama hum AAanha bighaibeenaAnd never therefrom will they be absent
- 17Verse 17
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Wama adraka ma yawmu alddeeniAnd what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense
- 18Verse 18
ثُمَّ مَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلدِّينِ
Thumma ma adraka ma yawmu alddeeniThen, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense
- 19Verse 19
يَوۡمَ لَا تَمۡلِكُ نَفۡسٞ لِّنَفۡسٖ شَيۡـٔٗاۖ وَٱلۡأَمۡرُ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلَّهِ
Yawma la tamliku nafsun linafsin shayan waalamru yawmaithin lillahiIt is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah
