سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى
Sabbihi isma rabbika alaAAlaExalt the name of your Lord, the Most High
- 2Verse 2
ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
Allathee khalaqa fasawwaWho created and proportioned
- 3Verse 3
وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
Waallathee qaddara fahadaAnd who destined and [then] guided
- 4Verse 4
وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ
Waallathee akhraja almarAAaAnd who brings out the pasture
- 5Verse 5
فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ
FajaAAalahu ghuthaan ahwaAnd [then] makes it black stubble
- 6Verse 6
سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
Sanuqrioka fala tansaWe will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget
- 7Verse 7
إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ
Illa ma shaa Allahu innahu yaAAlamu aljahra wama yakhfaExcept what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden
- 8Verse 8
وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ
Wanuyassiruka lilyusraAnd We will ease you toward ease
- 9Verse 9
فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ
Fathakkir in nafaAAati alththikraSo remind, if the reminder should benefit
- 10Verse 10
سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ
Sayaththakkaru man yakhshaHe who fears [Allah] will be reminded
- 11Verse 11
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى
Wayatajannabuha alashqaBut the wretched one will avoid it
- 12Verse 12
ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ
Allathee yasla alnnara alkubra[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire
- 13Verse 13
ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ
Thumma la yamootu feeha wala yahyaNeither dying therein nor living
- 14Verse 14
قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
Qad aflaha man tazakkaHe has certainly succeeded who purifies himself
- 15Verse 15
وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
Wathakara isma rabbihi fasallaAnd mentions the name of his Lord and prays
- 16Verse 16
بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا
Bal tuthiroona alhayata alddunyaBut you prefer the worldly life
- 17Verse 17
وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرٞ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ
Waalakhiratu khayrun waabqaWhile the Hereafter is better and more enduring
- 18Verse 18
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ
Inna hatha lafee alssuhufi aloolaIndeed, this is in the former scriptures
- 19Verse 19
صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
Suhufi ibraheema wamoosaThe scriptures of Abraham and Moses
