  1. 1Verse 1

    وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ

    Waalssamai waalttariqi

    By the sky and the night comer

  2. 2Verse 2

    وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ

    Wama adraka ma alttariqu

    And what can make you know what is the night comer

  3. 3Verse 3

    ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ

    Alnnajmu alththaqibu

    It is the piercing star

  4. 4Verse 4

    إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظٞ

    In kullu nafsin lamma AAalayha hafithun

    There is no soul but that it has over it a protector

  5. 5Verse 5

    فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ

    Falyanthuri alinsanu mimma khuliqa

    So let man observe from what he was created

  6. 6Verse 6

    خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖ

    Khuliqa min main dafiqin

    He was created from a fluid, ejected

  7. 7Verse 7

    يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ

    Yakhruju min bayni alssulbi waalttaraibi

    Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs

  8. 8Verse 8

    إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٞ

    Innahu AAala rajAAihi laqadirun

    Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able

  9. 9Verse 9

    يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ

    Yawma tubla alssarairu

    The Day when secrets will be put on trial

  10. 10Verse 10

    فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٖ وَلَا نَاصِرٖ

    Fama lahu min quwwatin wala nasirin

    Then man will have no power or any helper

  11. 11Verse 11

    وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ

    Waalssamai thati alrrajAAi

    By the sky which returns [rain]

  12. 12Verse 12

    وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ

    Waalardi thati alssadAAi

    And [by] the earth which cracks open

  13. 13Verse 13

    إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞ

    Innahu laqawlun faslun

    Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement

  14. 14Verse 14

    وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ

    Wama huwa bialhazli

    And it is not amusement

  15. 15Verse 15

    إِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗا

    Innahum yakeedoona kaydan

    Indeed, they are planning a plan

  16. 16Verse 16

    وَأَكِيدُ كَيۡدٗا

    Waakeedu kaydan

    But I am planning a plan

  17. 17Verse 17

    فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدَۢا

    Famahhili alkafireena amhilhum ruwaydan

    So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile
