وَٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلطَّارِقِ
Waalssamai waalttariqiBy the sky and the night comer
- 2Verse 2
وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلطَّارِقُ
Wama adraka ma alttariquAnd what can make you know what is the night comer
- 3Verse 3
ٱلنَّجۡمُ ٱلثَّاقِبُ
Alnnajmu alththaqibuIt is the piercing star
- 4Verse 4
إِن كُلُّ نَفۡسٖ لَّمَّا عَلَيۡهَا حَافِظٞ
In kullu nafsin lamma AAalayha hafithunThere is no soul but that it has over it a protector
- 5Verse 5
فَلۡيَنظُرِ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ
Falyanthuri alinsanu mimma khuliqaSo let man observe from what he was created
- 6Verse 6
خُلِقَ مِن مَّآءٖ دَافِقٖ
Khuliqa min main dafiqinHe was created from a fluid, ejected
- 7Verse 7
يَخۡرُجُ مِنۢ بَيۡنِ ٱلصُّلۡبِ وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ
Yakhruju min bayni alssulbi waalttaraibiEmerging from between the backbone and the ribs
- 8Verse 8
إِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ رَجۡعِهِۦ لَقَادِرٞ
Innahu AAala rajAAihi laqadirunIndeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able
- 9Verse 9
يَوۡمَ تُبۡلَى ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ
Yawma tubla alssarairuThe Day when secrets will be put on trial
- 10Verse 10
فَمَا لَهُۥ مِن قُوَّةٖ وَلَا نَاصِرٖ
Fama lahu min quwwatin wala nasirinThen man will have no power or any helper
- 11Verse 11
وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلرَّجۡعِ
Waalssamai thati alrrajAAiBy the sky which returns [rain]
- 12Verse 12
وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ ذَاتِ ٱلصَّدۡعِ
Waalardi thati alssadAAiAnd [by] the earth which cracks open
- 13Verse 13
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوۡلٞ فَصۡلٞ
Innahu laqawlun faslunIndeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement
- 14Verse 14
وَمَا هُوَ بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ
Wama huwa bialhazliAnd it is not amusement
- 15Verse 15
إِنَّهُمۡ يَكِيدُونَ كَيۡدٗا
Innahum yakeedoona kaydanIndeed, they are planning a plan
- 16Verse 16
وَأَكِيدُ كَيۡدٗا
Waakeedu kaydanBut I am planning a plan
- 17Verse 17
فَمَهِّلِ ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ رُوَيۡدَۢا
Famahhili alkafireena amhilhum ruwaydanSo allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile
